FM People's Pride Art Collective

FM People's Pride Art Collective was born from a group of artists and community organizers. Our praxis is abolitionist, decolonial, & anti-capitalist in nature. We are comprised of individuals who practice multidisciplinary arts including paint, collage, ceramics, fiber arts, beading, and print. Together we collaborate with the community to create art and gatherings that express the grief and joy felt by those made most vulnerable by the U.S. empire.

About the artists

Margaret McKenzie-Ray - (she/they) is a first-generation American artist, organizer, and educator currently working in reproductive healthcare. Using watercolor, collage/paper arts, and ceramics, they explore history, storytelling, myth, and religion. Find their practice here.

Ryan Flynn - (they/them) is an artist, teacher, and organizer. Their work focuses on political and emotional paper collages. They create with secondhand sources such as magazines, comics, and old library books. Find their practice here.

Mel Holtzer-Benitez - (she/they) plays the role of organizer and community outreach. They create paintings, collage, mixed media, and perform as an actor and musician.

Isabetta Bleu - (they/them) uses art to parallel their journey of reconnection to ancestral roots. They are a youth development professional and teaching artist who believes strongly in co-creating publicly accessible creative spaces.
